New Assistant Principal Announced

We are pleased to announce Artise Gill as our new assistant principal. Effective August 25, Ms. Gill replaces Cassandra Crawford who accepted a position at Riverbend High School in Spotsylvania County.  
 
Ms. Gill has 20 years of experience in education starting as a language arts teacher in the Richmond Public School system. In Prince William County she has served as a language arts department chair, yearbook sponsor, professional development specialist, and most recently Administrative Intern at Patriot High School. Ms. Gill will supervise Language Arts, World Languages, our library, as well as students whose last names fall between Ran-Z in the alphabet.
 
We are excited to have Ms. Gill join our team as we prepare for another successful school year."

Save the Dates! 2015-2016 Fall College Fairs

Osbourn High School will host the Western Prince William County Regional College Fair on Monday, September 28, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.   Osbourn High School is located at 9005 Tudor Lane, Manassas.  Hylton High School will host the Eastern Prince William County Regional College Fair on Thursday, October 15, 6:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m.  Hylton HS is located at 14051 Spriggs Road, Woodbridge.  Over 100 colleges are expected to be represented.  All events are open to everyone free of charge.  Juniors, seniors and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend!

Obtaining AP Scores - JULY

This July, AP scores will only be available online.  Students will not receive scores in the mail.  To obtain AP scores, students must sign up for a free College Board account at www.apscore.org. We encourage students to take this step now, then remember to keep the username and password in a safe place!  If you've taken an AP exam in the past, ever registered for the SAT, or participated in other College Board programs, you may already have a College Board account.  Try signing in at at www.apscore.ort to find out.
SAT/PSAT/NMSQT Information
Redesigned PSAT/NMSQT - Coming October 2015:  Did you know that the redesigned PSAT/NMSQT is being launched in October 2015? Visit the CollegeBoard website to learn how the exam is changing, learn about the connection to the SAT, and view sample questions,

Redesigned SAT - Coming March 2016:  Did you know that a redesigned SAT will be launched in March 2016? Visit the CollegeBoard website and read about the eight key changes to the test, view sample questions, and learn about test specifications.

Please check out our new Fundraising link on the left.  All ongoing fundraisers will be posted here, please check back often.  We appreciate the support of our faculty, staff, students, and community.
PWCS Office 365

Check out our PWCS Office 365 link on the left.  Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based communication and collaboration tool, hosted by Microsoft and managed by PWCS.  Office 365 will provide the ability for PWCS students (grades 3-12), faculty and staff to email, store files and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real time from school, work, or home, all within a secure online environment.   All OP freshman and sophomore students received their accounts and training through their English classes.  Our Leadership students will be available to assist all juniors and seniors after school in the Library on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday October 23.   Student directions have been posted under the PWCS Office 365 link.
